   coming soon
No matter how well Jack Berenson did, he was a failure in his father's eyes. So he walked away. Hadn't talked to the old man in a long time. There were reasons of course, secrets much darker than hurt feelings. And still it was a most painful and reluctant separation. Trapped by stubborn pride and family secrets in a long, silent standoff, neither was able to reach out. Not the father. Not the son.
So when Dad, famed network journalist Ben Berenson, is found dead in a Mexican river, all hope evaporates. Jack had dreamed of reconciliation, but how can you resolve anything with a dead man?
It was now impossible. Or so he thought.
From the sustained Western drought to the world of international water deals, corruption reigned supreme. Ben was onto it, and it cost him his life. But that wasn't enough. Now they wanted his reputation too. destroyed so his stories, should they ever come out, would be seen as the ravings of a thoroughly delusional and dishonored man.
Drawn into it, because blood is blood after all. Jack fights back, when he sees news articles dragging Ben down, receives apparent bribes, and meets Marisa. Mostly Marisa, keeper of the flame, and from the moment he sees her, the love of his life. She prompts Jack to his father's mission, and assumes the task of finishing the story his father died for.
With all the electronic tricks available to him in his business, Jack begins to assemble the story, more effectively than would, in fact, have been possible for Ben. It's a big step, as he begins to honor his father. And attract the very same forces that killed him.
Agua is a story about love and sacrifice. Honor and greed. And a once-in-a-lifetime romance mortally threatened. It’s about water, and politics, killings, passionate love and all of it caught up in the tensile seminal web of fathers and sons.
